3 Arrested Over Terenure Burglary

Gardai investigating a violent burglary in Terenure last week have arrested three men.

One of the occupants - a 60 year old man - was badly beaten during the raid.

The break-in happened at a house on Fortfield Road, when a man in his 60s answered a knock at the door of his home at around 9.30 last Thursday evening.

At least four masked men forced their way in, assaulted the man in front of his teenage son and demanded cash.

The gang fled twhen the victim's wife returned home, and emergency services were called.

The man was taken to St James Hospital where he was been treated for non life threatening injuries.

A man in his 30s was arrested near the scene on the night of the raid and Gardai say three men were arrested in the city this morning.

They're being held at Terenure and Rathfarnham Garda Stations.
