A 29 year old man has been arrested in connection with a hit and run in the city.
At approximately 3.10 this morning a man in his 40s was left for dead after being struck by a car on North Street in Swords.
The driver of the car fled the area and the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
He was removed to Connolly Hospital for a post mortem examination.
Following an investigation the Gardai have arrested a 29 year old man this evening.
He is now being held at Swords Garda station.
