The new GPO visitor centre has already 20 thousand bookings, before it's official opening next month.
The finishing touches are being put to the 7 million Euro interpretive centre in the post office which was the main focal point for the rebels during the 1916 Easter Rising.
General Manager Aline Fitzgerald said the new staff at the centre arrived last week:
"They're really getting to grips with the content. Their reaction has been so encouraging as well, they're all so excited to be part of this."
The interactive centre will have artifacts, from both sides in the Easter Rising, on permanent display - many of which were donated to the centre.
Barney Whelan from An Post says the centre won’t open until just after the Easter weekend commemorations:
"There's so many things happening around the GPO on Easter Weekend, there's alot of infrastructure for the parade and everything that's going to happen there. So we'll be open on the 29th, first thing on the 29th".
