A man has been arrested after drugs worth over 100-thousand euro were seized in Dublin.
Cannabis herb worth over €75,000 and cocaine worth over €25,000 were discovered in Finglas last night, along with €1.,600 euro in cash.
An 18 year old man was arrested in the early hours of this morning, and is being questioned at a garda station in north Dublin where he can be held for up to a week.
A garda spokesperson says: "Gardaí seized approximately €100,800 of combined drugs, €1,600 in cash and arrested one man during an Operation Tara search that took place in Finglas, Dublin 11, on Monday 25th September 2023.
"Finglas Gardaí conducted a search in Finglas, Dublin 11, at approximately 11.15pm. Drugs suspected to be Cannabis herb, valued at €75,600 and Cocaine, valued at €25,200 were seized along with €1,600 in cash.
"A male (18) was arrested in the early hours of Tuesday 26th September 2023, as part of this investigation, and is currently detained at a Garda Station in north Dublin under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act, 1996.
"All of the suspected drugs will now be sent to Forensic Science Ireland (FSI) for analysis.
"Investigations are ongoing."
