An 11-year-old girl has been hospitalised with serious injuries after a crash in west Dublin.

It happened yesterday on the Lower Lucan Road at around 11.30 am.

Three people were traveling in the car at the time.

The two others in the car, a seven-year-old girl and a man in his 40's, received minor injuries.

The two children were sitting in the back.

Anyone who was in the area at the time or had dashcam footage is being asked to contact Lucan Gardaí.
