Small Things Like This, an Irish film starring Cillian Murphy has released its first trailer.
The film is centred around the Magdalene Laundries and is based on the award winning book by Claire Keegan.
Cillian Murphy stars as a family man and coal merchant who makes a startling discovery while making a delivery in the weeks before Christmas in 1985.
Speaking to Vanity Fair, the Oscar winner said the film is so “seemingly simple” but is actually “incredibly complex”
“It's massively intertwined with Irish people, our history and our culture and trauma. I feel that sometimes art is a gentler way of addressing or confronting that than, perhaps, government reports or academic papers."
