The preview screening of The Night Before took place in Dublin last night and we went along to join in the festivities and see the movie.

The Sony Pictures team converted the Cineworld into a winter wonderland for the screening with a Bad Santa, a giant snow globe and lots of food and drink. Everyone was in the festive spirit for the movie and it continued from start to finish.

Starring Seth Rogen, Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Anthony Mackie as three best friends who embark on an annual tradition of getting locked on Christmas Eve and heading out on the town. Their yearly night out is slowly coming to a finish as they are growing up and have new priorities. Isaac (Rogen) is becoming a father, Chris (Mackie) is now a famous sports star and Ethan (Gordon-Levitt) is stuck in a rut that he needs to get out of.

The boys have one last hurrah with a blow out night together, but it takes some nasty twists and turns, questioning their friendship and approaching responsibilities. The night ends at the Nutcracka Ball, which is the Holy Grail of Christmas parties in New York, and the storyline follows the three on their mission to find this party.

If you liked Pineapple Express, then you'll love this movie. It's a drink and drunk fuelled comedy with some hilarious laugh out loud moments. Seth Rogen is hilarious, as always, and it was great to see his partner in crime in most other movies, James Franco, make a cameo in The Night Before.

If you're heading along to the cinema with a group of friends this Christmas then this is definitely a movie for you. If you're heading along with your parents then it's probably not the right movie. It's out in cinemas Friday 4th December.
