Man Dies In Ballyfermot Crash

A man in his 20s has died following a crash in Ballyfermot in Dublin overnight.

The single-vehicle collision happened on the Sarsfield Road shortly after 10.30pm. Three people were in the car at the time.

A woman in her 20s, who was also a passenger, was seriously injured. The driver of the car, who is in his 30, has been arrested.

The road was closed overnight to allow for the scene to be examined by Forensic Collision Investigators but has since re-opened.

Investigating Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward. They are particularly appealing to any road users who were travelling on the road at the time who have camera footage.
