Lisa Smith has been granted bail.
The former member of the Irish Defence Forces was charged earlier this month with membership of the jihadist terrorist group Isis.
She was previously refused bail by a District Court judge, but her application to the High Court was approved this afternoon.
The mother-of-one’s bail, which she hasn’t taken up yet, is subject to strict conditions including that she stay in a specific address in the north east.
She has been in custody since her arrest at Dublin Airport on December 1st after being escorted home from Turkey.
