Adopt don't shop!

Looking for a four-legged friend?

The DSPCA are reopening adoption applications for puppies and kittens next week.

The shelter closed to the public last March with the Covid-19 pandemic, and was subsequently inundated with adoption requests.

Now, the DSPCA is ready to accept new applications.

Here's how you can apply:

Apply through the DSPCA website

The shelter will only be taking applications through their website. The DSPCA do not respond to application inquiries on their social media channels.

Be patient

Given the level of applications the shelter achieves, it can take some time for them to process applications. Applications will be reopened once the list is complete.

Other options

While they may continue to share their furry visitors online, please note that there may not always be puppies and kittens available for adoption.

The DSPCA also have horses, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, budgies, ferrets, reptiles and so many more animals looking for forever homes.

Keep an eye on the DSPCA's socials for more details!
