Ireland's Eurovision 2020 entry has been announced.

Singer-songwriter Leslie Roy will be representing Ireland when we head to Rotterdam in May.

Leslie is from Balbriggan but lives between here and New York.

Her entry song "Story Of My Life" was written with some of her favourite writers in Nashville.

As well as the song, Ireland will also be putting more focus on staging and choreography this year.

Philly McMahon of award-winning theatre company Thisispopbaby is on board as creative director and Philip Connaughton will be choreographing the number.

This year marks 24 years since Ireland last won the contest with Eimear Quinn singing The Voice.

It also marks 50 years since Ireland first won the Eurovision when Dana sang All Kinds of Everything.

Leslie will perform in the first semi-final on May 12th, with the final then taking place on May 16th.
