Arran Victory Potatoes

Aldi has a brand new type of potato on its shelves!

The retailer is the only in Ireland to stock bags of seasonal Arran Victory Potatoes.

But what makes these spuds so special?

The variety originally popped up after World War 1, over 100 years ago.

And it's one of only two purple skinned varieties of potato with a white creamy flesh.

The Arran Victory Potatoes are said to be similar to Rooster and Maris Piper.

And they make for the perfect roasties - crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside.

What more could you want!

A 1kg bag of Arran Victory Potatoes costs €1.59 in Aldi stores nationwide.
