One of Dublin's most iconic shops is set to relocate from its premises on Nassau Street. Knobs and Knockers is moving to Dun Laoghaire next month after 48 years in the city centre.
The business, which is known for its suggestive name, sells furniture and household accessories.
Head Of Communications at Dublin Chamber, Graeme McQueen, described the news as "an end of an era".
On Twitter, he wrote: "Sad news... Knobs & Knockers is indeed closing down. Moving to Dun Laoghaire after 47 years on Nassau Street. End of an era..."

Last month, Fleetwood Mac guitarist Mike Campbell posed outside the shop for a selfie with his wife before the band's sold out gig at the RDS.
In a statement to Dublin Gazette, Des Cooney from Knobs and Knockers said: “Yes, sadly after 48 years on Nassau Street, we are moving at the end of this month. Our new address will be 3 The Forge, Bakers Corner, Rochestown Avenue, Dun Laoghaire.”
