The Green Party leader has admitted the recent event at the Merrion Hotel has undermined public confidence in the Government.
But both the Greens and Fianna Fáil at Cabinet are likely to back Leo Varadkar after his attendance at the party.
The Merrion Hotel controversy has dogged the Government over the past week but this morning Chief Whip Jack Chambers tried to draw a line under the event.
The Taoiseach Micheál Martin is also expected to back the embattled Tánaiste Leo Varadkar, to the chagrin of some members of his party who feel Fianna Fáil has been a walk over.
Green Party leader Eamon Ryan admitted this morning the event had undermined public confidence in health guidelines, after Fáilte Ireland advice was changed to say the Merrion event was ok.
The Government is also facing renewed pressure to release a roadmap for the re-opening of the live events industry, something it plans to do by the end of this month.
