Dublin’s own Barry Keoghan has landed the gig of playing Ringo Starr in the upcoming Beatles biopic series — but turns out he got a bit starstruck meeting the real-life legend!
Barry made a visit to Ringo’s house for a chat and a bit of insight into the role, but when the Beatle offered him a go on the drums, Barry said he was too shook to even look at him, never mind being out a tune!

The new Beatles biopic will feature a film for each of the Fab Four, with Barry joining an all-star cast alongside Paul Mescal, Joseph Quinn, and Harris Dickinson. It’s not out until 2028, so we’ve a bit of waiting to do — but we’re buzzing already!
Also, Barry casually dropped that he missed his Debs back in the day after getting kicked out of school. Bit of a rockstar move, no?
