Gardai Make Further Arrests In Navan Assault Investigation

Gardaí have arrested two further teenagers in relation to an assault on a 14-year-old boy in Navan on Monday.

The three teenagers arrested this morning have been released without charge.

Just before eleven o'clock this morning, Gardaí confirmed three teenagers were arrested.

They have since been released without charge and a file will be referred in the first instance for consideration for admission to the Juvenile Diversion Programme.

Gardaí this afternoon confirmed that two further teenage boys have since been arrested.

They are being questioned at Garda Stations in the Meath region.

The arrests are in connection to an attack on a 14-year-old boy in Navan on Monday, in which he suffered serious facial injuries.

People are being asked not to share the video of the attack out of respect to the victim.

Gardai continue to investigate and have appointed a family liaison officer to support the victim and his family.
