Two investigations are underway after a teenager was attacked in Navan.

Gardai are asking people to stop sharing footage of the assault online, which has now been viewed over 5 million times.

Gardai and the Louth Meath Education and Training Board are investigating.

A teenager presented to Drogheda hospital with some facial injuries.

Sinn Féin TD for Meath West Johnny Guirke says the display of violence is horrific.

''It was shocking and disturbing and very upsetting. It would really annoy you. I hope that young fella is alright. I will be thinking of him and his family after seeing it.''

The Justice Minister has spoken to the boy's parents.
