A fire has broken out at an apartment in Sandyford in Dublin.

Emergency services are at the scene dealing with the blaze on the top floor of an apartment block.

Five Fire Engines, an Emergency Tender, a 42 metre ladder and the fire brigade's Incident Command Unit are at the scene.

Gardaí say the Corrig Road is closed as a result and motorists are asked to use a different route.
