Over €1.6m Worth Of Drugs And Cash Seized

Over 1.6 million euro worth of drugs and cash has been seized following searches in Dublin, Meath, Louth and Wexford.

Three people have also been arrested.

 

At around 6 o'clock yesterday evening, Gardaí targeting serious organised crime, intercepted a number of vehicles in Drogheda Co. Louth.

Two men aged 50 and 59 and a 43 year old woman were arrested on suspicion of helping an organised crime gang to commit a serious offence.

A number of follow up searches were carried out in Dublin, Meath, Louth and Wexford.

Gardaí found approximately 550 thousand euro in cash, most of which was vacuum packed.

Cocaine and prescription drugs with an estimated street value in excess of 1.1 million euro were also discovered.

Three vehicles, six high value watches, two encrypted communications devices and two signal blocking devices were also seized.

Gardaí say investigations are ongoing.
