Deliveroo rider George Gonzaga Bento is accused of murdering Josh Dunne on the 26th of January last year.

At his arraignment hearing this afternoon, Mr. Bento denied murdering the 16 year old on East Wall Road on the 26th of January last year.

The jury panel was told that at the time of the alleged murder, George Gonzaga Bento was living in the East Wall area of Dublin.

The deceased, Josh Dunne, was from Ballymun.

Bento also denied producing a knife during the course of a fight and pleaded not guilty to assaulting two others at the same location on the same night.

A jury was sworn in to hear the trial, which is due to get underway tomorrow morning and is expected to take up to four weeks.
