De Bruyne reveals extent of injuries from Champions League final

Kevin De Bruyne says he is 'okay' after breaking his nose and fracturing his eye socket in the Champions League final defeat to Chelsea.

What was predicted to be a night for glory for the Manchester City captain turned into a living nightmare as he had to be taken off following a nasty clash with Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger on the hour mark.

He appeared to look concussed as he made his way down the tunnel in Porto, and his City team-mates couldn't give him the fairytale result, as Chelsea won 1-0 to upset the odds.

De Bruyne tweeted: "Hi guys, just got back from the hospital. My diagnosis is acute nose bone fracture and left orbital fracture. I feel okay now."

It remains to be seen if the Belgian playmaker will participate in the upcoming European Championship.

Belgium play Russia in their opening European Championship game on June 12th.
