One part of a Dublin creche has had to close after a confirmed case of Covid-19.

The Irish Times reports that sixteen children and two staff members at Oakmount Creche at the UCD campus are self-isolating and will undergo testing.

That's after they were deemed close contacts of a person with the illness.

Management told parents about the case on Sunday however they were only officially informed by the HSE on Wednesday.

One of the Montessori rooms has been shut however the rest of the facility remains open.
