Council Issues Warning Over Removal Of Statues

Dublin City Council has issued a warning letter to the owners of the Shelbourne Hotel over the removal of statues.

Four bronze statues were taken down from outside the hotel over concerns they were linked to slavery.

The owners have been given four weeks for a response to the Section 152 letter.

Dublin City Council says a Section 152 Warning letter issued was issued to the owners of the Shelbourne Hotel on July 29th. A period of 4 weeks is allowed for a response to the Warning Letter as required by the Act.
