It was reported yesterday that Rebel Wilson is set to play Adele in a new biopic about her rise to fame. But Adele has now spoken out about the claims, saying they need her "f***ing permission".
During her sold-out concert in London last night, the 27-year-old gave a sassy response to the rumours.
Adele reportedly joked, "I've heard there are rumours about Rebel Wilson will be playing me in a movie, let's see if that turns out to be true."
She then continued, "They need my f***ing permission. Just because I'm plus-sized doesn't mean she's playing me."
According to Daily Star, Rebel - who's known for her comedic roles - is hoping the film will help her prove herself as a "serious actress".
A source told the paper: “Rebel has always wanted to prove she can cut it as a serious actress.
“This is going to be a huge challenge for her because Adele is a legend at the peak of her popularity.
“She thinks that this role could be the making of her career and transform her into a major movie star.
