Bus Timetables To Be Reduced In Dublin From Next Week

Bus operators in Dublin are to reduce their timetables starting from next Monday due to a lack of demand during Covid-19 restrictions.

Dublin Bus will run at around 80 percent of its current weekday levels from next week, while Go-Ahead services will make the same changes from Monday the 25th of January.

The National Transport Authority says there are no major changes proposed for the Luas, although there will be some reduction in peak services.

The operating hours of services will remain as they are currently.

The NTA says:

"No changes are proposed to Bus Éireann schedules at this time, although the company and the NTA will continue to monitor the situation."

"No changes are proposed to schedules for Go-Ahead Ireland commuter services along the Kildare corridor."

"No changes are proposed for Local Link services in rural areas."

"A revised Iarnród Éireann schedule was announced last week and took effect on Monday."

The NTA is strongly encouraging people to walk or cycle where possible.
