Woman Charged With Impeding Arrest Of Suspect In Lisa Thompson Murder

A woman has appeared in court in connection with an investigation into the murder of Dublin woman Lisa Thompson.

40-year-old Deirdre Arnold of 145 Briarfield Grove, Kilbarrack, Dublin 5 sat before a special sitting of the Central Criminal Court this afternoon.

Deirdre Arnold was arrested at her home in Kilbarrack this morning at approximately 8:15am and charged an hour later at Ballymun Garda Station.

Today she appeared before the Courts in connection with the murder of Dublin woman Lisa Thompson, who was found dead on May 10th at her home in Ballymun.

Miss Arnold has been accused of impeding the prosecution of the alleged principle offender in the murder from the 9th of May to the 11th of July this year.

The 40-year-old made no objection to bail conditions, which include signing on to Raheny Garda Station and handing in her passport.

She's to have no contact directly or indirectly with any witnesses including the co accused.

37 year old Brian McHugh of Cairn Court, Ballymun, is awaiting trial, having been charged with Lisa Thompson's murder in July.
