Ireland's first non-stop route to Asia will launch next month. Cathay Pacific's new Dublin to Hong Kong route will commence on June 2nd with four direct flights a week using the five-star airline's newest fleet, the Airbus A350-900.

The aircraft features state-of-the-art technology to enhance in-flight wellness. The combined effect of a lowered cabin altitude for a more comfortable experience, colour-combo cabin mood lighting and fresher air circulation helps passengers adjust to a new time zone, sleep better and assists in reducing jetlag, allowing passengers to make the most of their time away.

There are three cabin classes available on the 12 hour flight: Business, Premium Economy and Economy.

Every seat onboard comes with a HD personal TV, with an extensive range of on-demand entertainment and in-flight Wi-Fi for all passengers.

James Ginns, General Manager Europe of Cathay Pacific, said: “Cathay Pacific’s new route will be Ireland’s first and only non-stop flight to Asia. This will open up many opportunities not only for Chinese and Irish tourists interested in travelling abroad, but also Irish businesses looking to grow into the Asia Pacific markets. I look forward to launching the new route and giving everyone in Ireland a shorter, faster and premium link to Asia.”

From Hong Kong, Cathay Pacific along with its regional carrier Cathay Dragon, operate scheduled passenger flights to more than 190 destinations around the world.
