This news will help ease your Monday blues. There's warm and sunny weather forecast for the week ahead. 

According to Met Eireann, Leinster and Munster will get the best of the weather over the next few days. Friday is set to be the warmest day with sunshine and highs of 22 degrees forecast.

Monday: Bright sunny spells and some scattered blustery showers, but overall a lot of dry weather too. Highest temperatures of 17 or 18 degrees Celsius, in moderate to fresh northwest breezes.

Tuesday: Tuesday will be cloudier than today but mainly dry with some sunny spells. There could be some scattered showers in the late afternoon with highs of 17 or 18 degrees Celsius.

Wednesday: Mainly cloudy with some outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Highest temperatures 14 to 19 degrees Celsius, in moderate westerly winds.

Thursday: Mild and humid with warm sunshine at times. Highest temperatures will range 17 to 20 or 21 degrees Celsius.  The east and the midlands will be the warmest areas.

Friday: Dry and breezy with highs of 22 degrees. The weather will be the warmest, driest and brightest across south Leinster and east Munster.
