Shawn Mendes has officially confirmed the rumours that he and Niall Horan will be making music together. The Canadian singer confirmed the news to James Corden on The Late Late Show last night.
“My favourite Irish man in the world is Niall Horan from One Direction,” James said.
“I’m hearing a rumour you and he might work together on some music, maybe even a duet, is this something that’s going to happen?”
“Definitely, yeah,” Shawn replied.
“100 percent?” James asked.
“Yeah, no, no. I mean, he’s awesome. I’ve been talking to him for a long time. But it’s like, it’s annoying because, you know, I’ll be in London, ‘I’ll be like, Niall, I’m here,’ he’ll be like, ‘Just landed in L.A.’ and vice-versa. So, yeah, when we get a second I want to write with him a bunch, for sure,” Shawn said.
“Aw, I would love a duet. Wouldn’t we love that guys? It would be incredible!” James added.

Mendes previously told The Daily Star that he would also love to work with One Direction after their hiatus.
“I’d also be up for working with them as well. I think they are all great. I just know Niall better and we have become closer than I have with the others."
