A second Coldplay date at Croke Park has been ruled out. 80,000 tickets for their Dublin show next year went on sale last Friday and sold out in less than 30 minutes, leaving thousands of fans disappointed.

Last week the band added second gigs to other European cities, including Brussels, Paris and Cardiff as part of their 'A Head Full Of Dreams Tour'.

However the MD of MCD, Denis Desmond has confirmed there won't be a second concert at Croker.

"There won’t be a second Coldplay gig in Dublin. They don’t have the time.”

Desmond added: “The band is playing only 15 gigs in Europe next summer and only two in the UK.”

Coldplay bring their 'A Head Full Of Dreams Tour' to Croke Park on Saturday July 8th 2017.

Yesterday Desmond also confirmed half of the tickets (around 25,000) for next year’s Electric Picnic have already been sold.
