It looks like we're going to be hearing music from Liam Payne pretty soon. The One Direction star has signed a solo record deal in the US.
Liam announced the news on Twitter last night.
"Amazing to have signed to @RepublicRecords I am celebrating as I tweet thank you so much for accepting me to your roster of amazing artists," he posted.

The hashtag #CongratsLiam immediately started trending on Twitter. However, some Directions got the wrong end of the stick, thinking Liam had confirmed rumours that his girlfriend Cheryl was pregnant with their first child.
Earlier this year, Liam signed a UK solo deal with Universal.
Meanwhile, Louis Walsh has lashed out at One Direction, labelling the band 'monsters'.
Speaking to the Mail on Sunday's Event magazine, the music mogul also revealed that he thinks Harry Styles is the only member that will go on to have a successful solo career.
"Too much money, too much success, too quickly," Louis said. "Simon created monsters and that was it. They all think they're going to be solo stars. They're not. Only Harry. That's it.
"Then they'll be sorry they broke up and it'll be too late because there's another boy band. That always happens in boy bands."
Louis also gave his two cents in relation to Liam's relationship with former X Factor judge Cheryl Fernandez-Versini.
"Can I be honest with you about Cheryl? I think Liam and Cheryl are going to work...
"He's a nice guy and he's in love with her. He'll make her happy. I think she was in a bad place over the last two years. And she brought her misery to The X Factor ."
