A spokesperson for Lady Gaga says she is not playing Cilla Black in a movie.
It's after Dionne Warwick held a press conference telling reporters the singer had committed to the film.
At the event in Cannes, the singer even showed journalists a promotional poster for the movie with Gaga's image on it.
“Lady Gaga is not attached and will not appear in the project,” her publicist said. “Reports of Gaga starring in the project are false.”
The movie, called 'Dionne' will tell the story of Dionne Warick's life, and will apparently involve scenes including the late Cilla Black. Gaga's people say she's never even heard of it.
Dionne Warwick’s representatives weren't immediately available for comment.
