Rapt is a new, Irish, online sci-fi series which portrays a Dublin where everybody suddenly disappears. Cars trundle up onto footpaths, planes fall out of the sky and swings sway ominously in playgrounds after people vanish into thin air.
Sarah Jane Seymour plays Angie Smith, who's left all alone after a strange encounter in Eamon Ceannt Park. Dublin is eerily empty and still... aside from smoke billowing from the Central Bank and a creepy troupe of motorised Christmas elves ringing out through the Ilac Centre. (Although come to think of it, the Ilac can get a bit End of Days when it's full of people too!)
Each episode is less than eight minutes and RTE has done a Netflix, i.e. all episodes have been made available all at once. The four part series is produced by Yvonne Donohoe (Blinder Films) and written by Devin John Doyle and directed by Kieron J Walsh.
