Cher has just become one more celebrity to be prounced dead on social media.
The singer was said to have passed away, after a R.I.P Cher page was set up.
The page stated that "Our beloved actress Cher passed away. Cher was born on May 20, 1946 in El Centro. She will be missed but not forgotten. Please show your sympathy and condolences by commenting on and liking this page.”
The page accumulated over 1 million followers and fans started tweeting their condolences.

Yesterday a spokes person for the acctress confirmed she was alive and well, “She joins the long list of celebrities who have been victimized by this hoax. She's still alive and well, stop believing what you see on the Internet."
