Get your swimsuit ready because Dublin’s 98FM has just announced the launch of the BIG SLIDE HOME with HB Ice Cream and Dublin City Council!
This is not a drill!
In the first event of its kind in Ireland, a 260FT water slide will be constructed in Dublin City Centre on Winetavern Street (near Christchurch Cathedral).
On Saturday 23rd of July, between 12pm-6pm, this two lane inflatable slide (5mt wide) will run from the arch of the Cathedral down to the base of the hill and will give listeners the chance to travel through Christchurch like never before!
Wannabe sliders will need to stay tuned to 98FM and following a cue to listen, be ready for action to go online and register for their wristbands.
HB Ice Cream will be on site handing out free ice creams to cool down sliders and will also be running the “Snap a Soakie” station where sliders can post their photos to Instagram (@HB_Ireland) at the event and print out a copy to take home.
The Big Ride Home presenter Dara Quilty said: “I am so excited to be launching this event this summer. Dublin has been screaming out for an event like this for years so I’m so glad 98FM are doing it. The slide is going to be incredible and it will be an amazing experience. I hope everyone tunes in and gets their wristbands”.
Listeners can tune into 98FM every day from next week for their chance to win access. A limited number of 100 wristbands will be released per day and you can only access to the slide wearing a wristband, there are over 5000 slides are up for grabs!
