While Sligo is known as the 'Land of Heart's Desire' and the Wexford motto is 'An Example to Ireland' we weren't all too impressed with Dublin's motto.... 'Action to match our speech'
So we set our Big Breakfast listeners the task of creating a more suitable motto for Dublin and we had some crackin' suggestions.
Like this Conor McGregor inspired motto that came in from Darren
Or this painfully true suggestion from Paula:
"Dublin, With Rent So High, It'll Make You Cry"
With the weather we're having lately, this could well be out motto..
"Always Never Sunny in Dublin"
Danny in clontarf reckons it should be..
"The good, the bad and the mad yokes"
Here's a patriotic suggestion from Craig who says Dublin is..
"True Blue Town"
Michael has a bit of advice thrown into his suggested motto..
"Don't be smug, be a real Dub"
But we're probably best know for this motto, which was suggested by the majority!
