Casino Royale, ITV2, 9pm
It wouldn't be Christmas without a Bond film and this one starring Daniel Craig in his first outing as 007 is arguably one of the best. His investigation leads him to a casino in Montenegro, where he takes part in a high-stakes poker game in a bid to bankrupt Le Chiffre, an international criminal financing terrorist organisations.
About a Boy, Channel 4, 11:05pm
This rom-com stars Hugh Grant as Will, who seeks out relationships with single mothers, on the assumption that they're more desperate. But his plans are thrown off course when he becomes friends with Marcus, the 12-year-old son of one of his pursuits.
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, UTV, 8pm
The fifth Harry Potter film is the first of the franchise to be directed by David Yates and sees Harry try to convince his Hogwarts classmates that Lord Voldemort has returned to life. When Dumbledore is ousted, Harry takes matters into his own hands and unites his fellow pupils to form a secret army.
Birdman, RTÉ2, 9:30pm
This Oscar-winning film starring Michael Keaton and Emma Stone sees a faded movie star try to reclaim his artisitic integrity by directing and starring in a Broadway play. However, the move plunges him into a personal crisis as both the production and his own family are beset by a series of disasters.
Alan Partridge: Alpha Papa, BBC2, 11:30pm
This comedy starring Steve Coogan and our own Colm Meany sees the hapless local radio DJ ends up in the centre of a crisis when a colleague gets fired by the station's new owners, only to return to the studio with a shotgun and take hostages. The police enlist Alan as a negotiator, giving him the chance to revive his own dwindling profile.
