Say it ain't so 😥

The next season of Succession is going to be the last one, according to the show's creator Jesse Armstrong.

The hype is building for the Season 4 that's set to air on March 27th, and now a bombshell has been dropped on us. We have no more Succession to look forward to after that!

Speaking to the New Yorker, Armstrong confirmed that we there'd be no new seasons of Succession after the 4th.

When he opened up about why he decided to end the show, it's apparent he's afraid of the show going down the same route as other popular TV shows - going for on for longer than they should.

"I hope that no one ever thinks that we are outstaying our welcome, that we’re going to do a dud season, or be stretching it out."

The writer also told the New Yorker that he's been thinking of how to end it since Season 2.

"I got together with a few of my fellow writers before we started the writing of season four, in about November, December, 2021, and I sort of said: 'Look, I think this maybe should be it. But what do you think?'"

Although he thinks Season 4 is where it ends for Succession's story he hasn't ruled out a spin-off so there's hope yet!

In the meantime, we'll savour every minute of Season 4, and we'll be rewatching for days!

Succession Season 4 will air weekly on Sky Atlantic or with a NOW Entertainment Membership from Monday, 27 March.
