We can't imagine they want this heat 😂

Apparently the folks at BBC have their sights set on Philip Schofield to take part in Strictly Come Dancing.

Insiders said the popular BBC dance show had shown interest in getting him as a contestant after he dramatically left This Morning, the show he presented for over 21 years, last week.

“They would love to have him on board because of the publicity it would generate for the show."

Since the news broke about Philip leaving This Morning over an alleged rift between him and his co-host Holly Willoughby, there's been lots of talk over what he'll do next.

Some sources says he's been tipped for other ITV shows, having been a staple with the broadcaster for so long, and will continue to host Dancing On Ice and The Cube.

Channel 5 have reportedly approached the British TV presenter about possible upcoming projects.

Speaking on the reports that BBC are poaching Philip for the next series of Strictly, a source for The Sun said: “Given he’s currently lying low and trying to work out his next move, it’s unlikely he will put on his dancing shoes but stranger things have happened."

I guess that's a fair point, stranger things *have* happened. Never say never!
