Coming soon

A Father Ted podcast is in the works.

Hosted by Joe Rooney and Patrick McDonnell, Talking Ted will take a look back at the hit comedy series.

Rooney is famous for playing the part of bad-boy priest Father Damo, while McDonnell made a stir as TV presenter Eoin McLove.

The pair will be joined by special guests from the show throughout their journeys through all 25 episodes.

Some of the guests lined up to make appearances include Ardal O’Hanlon and D'Unbeliveables duo Pat Shortt and Jon Kenny.

Other stars that will feature include Rosemary Henderson, who played Sister Assumpta, Jim Norton who played fan-favourite Bishop Brennan, Gerard McSorley as Golden Cleric-stealing Todd Unctious, and Maurice O'Donoghue, who played Ted's rival on Rugged Island, Father Dick Byrne.

Neil Hannon of The Divine Comedy, who wrote the original theme song and Eurovision hopeful My Lovely Horse, has composed a new original theme song especially for the podcast.

Talking Ted arrives later this year - you can subscribe to the series wherever you get your podcasts.
