Two Charged Following City Car Chase

Two men are due in court this morning following a car chase in South Dublin.

A motorcyclist and a garda car were hit during the incident.

The chase began yesterday afternoon when a car failed to stop for gardai in the south of the city

The car then collided with a motorbike in Rathfarnham and failed to remain at the scene.

The same car was then involved in a crash with an official garda car in Tallaght.

The occupants - a man in his late teens, a man in his 20s and a boy - were all arrested while a woman was also detained at the scene for public order offences.

The boy has been released, pending a referral to the garda youth diversion programme while the woman has also been released pending adult caution.

The two men have been charged and are due before Tallaght District Court this morning.

The Garda Press Office has issued a statement appealing for witnesses.
