Storm Eunice Bringing Strong Winds, Rain And Snow

Storm Eunice is bringing severe and damaging gusts this morning with Dublin currently under an orange wind alert.

The warning is also in place in Carlow, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Offaly, Wexford, Wicklow, Munster and Galway and will last until 11am.

Met Éireann is also warning of coastal flooding, while a number of southern counties are under a red wind alert. They include Cork, Kerry, Clare and Waterford.

Snow is also expected with blizzard-like conditions forecast for Donegal, Leitrim, Sligo, Mayo and Roscommon.

While the entire country is under a yellow snow and ice warning and a wind and rain alert.

Schools and colleges are expected to open in Dublin today but they will stay shut in nine other counties.

No Bus Eireann services will run this morning in Cork, Kerry and Clare until 10am due to the red wind warnings. While it won't operate buses in Waterford either until midday.

It follows Storm Dudley earlier this week which brought strong winds and rain.
