Jack Wilshere admits to the FA charge of making an offensive gesture during Arsenal's game at Manchester City.

But he will appeal against the two game ban.

As it stands, Wilshere will miss Arsenal's games with Chelsea and West Ham.

TV pictures showed the England international giving the middle finger to the Manchester City fans in the second half of the game at the Etihad on Saturday.

The incident went unnoticed by match officials but was caught on video and assessed by the FA retrospectively.

His case will be heard by a commission on Thursday.

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger said after that game: "If he did it and he is banned then we will have to accept it."
