The Irish under 21 side have drawn 0-0 away to Montenegro in their group 6 Euro qualifier.

Germany now lead group 6 on 14 points and look almost certain to top the group. It seems that Ireland and Montenegro will battle it out for second spot.

Both sides are on 8 points, but Ireland have played a game more.

Noel King's men have two games left. At home to Montenegro and away to Germany.

Montenegro also have to play the Faroe Islands and Romania as well as their clash with Ireland.

Irish defender Derrick Williams, who is on loan at Bristol City from Aston Villa, clearly wasn't happy with the pitch, tweeting afterwards...

"Drew nil nil with Montenegro, should of won, pitch was #waterlogged"
