Ronnie O'Sullivan is being accused of being “disrespectful”- after he turned down the chance at a 147 break yesterday.
The Rocket was competing against Barry Pinches at the Welsh Open, winning the first round tie 4-1.
In the final frame, O’Sullivan had a chance to claim a maximum 147 break- but instead chose to pot an easier pink ball for a 146 break because the prize money wasn’t enough.
O'Sullivan would have won £10,000 with a maximum break, but said it was "too cheap".
"If it had been more, I'd have gone for the 147", he said.
"Certain things have value, and a 147 is a special moment. I want it to feel special all round.

But he has been criticised by World Snooker chairman Barry Hearn, who says he was “disrespectful” to fans.
"This is not a crime, but a shame”, said Hearn.
"Players have a duty to the fans to deliver the best standard and entertainment they can.
“Anything less than playing to their best ability is unacceptable and disrespectful to the paying public."
