Robbie Keane To Keep Captain's Armband

Robbie Keane will wear the captain's armband in Ireland's friendlies against Latvia and Poland.

Manager Martin O'Neill hasn't spoken with Robbie but has no intention of stripping him of the captaincy.

Now O'Neill hasn't decided on his tactical formation yet but revealed the Boys in Green will play a pressing game against the Latvians.

And the new gaffer would have no problem in naming Stephen Ireland in a squad, an act - which of accepted - would end a now six year international exile.
