Richard Dunne Starts For Ireland Against Sweden

Richard DunneÂ’s back in the Republic of Ireland team for the World Cup qualifier to play Sweden at the Aviva Stadium tomorrow night.

The QPR defender returns in a competitive match for the first time since the defeat to Italy in the Euros more than a year ago.

Now keeper David Forde of Millwall has been preferred to Kieren Westwood with manager Giovanni Trapattoni mentioning his “mentality” and the fact he played against the Swedes as the reasons for his inclusion.

And James McClean has been selected to start on the left wing.
