Ndombele heading for Spurs exit as Nuno provides Kane latest

Tanguy Ndombele is poised to leave Tottenham Hotspur before the end of the transfer window.

The French midfielder hasn't played this season, and his manager Nuno Espirito Santo says he won't be involved in Sunday's Premier League game away to Wolves.

Ndombele was a club record signing in 2019, costing Spurs €62million to pry away from Ligue 1 giants Lyon.

Despite occasional patches of decent form, the 24-year old's time in North London has been characterised by inconsistency. Former Spurs manager Jose Mourinho frequently blew hot and cold on the France international.

"He was not part of the squad in the Conference League because he was not part of the list," Nuno told Friday's pre-match press conference, "I will be honest with you, Tanguy is not going to be involved on Sunday.”

Despite Ndombele not being in Nuno's plans, shifting him out of the club might be a difficult prospect. It's believed very few clubs will be able to match his £200,000 (€233k) a week salary.

Another man seemingly braced for a Tottenham exit is Harry Kane.

The striker has spent the summer angling for a move away from the club, with Manchester City reportedly waiting in the wings with £150million burning a hole in their pocket.

Kane wasn't included in the travelling party of Thursday's UEFA Europa Conference League defeat away to Pacos de Ferreira.

Asked if the striker will be involved at Molineux, Nuno said, "He trained today [Friday] and trained good.

"He's going to train tomorrow [Saturday] and tomorrow we're going to make a decision.

"I'm so sorry to keep on saying the same things but this is how we work. It's a day-by-day situation and decisions are made when we feel that we should make them.

"We're going to take the decision who is going to travel tomorrow.

"The reality is to take care with wise decisions. All the players that are involved with the training sessions are options for us."
