Harry Kane has been included in Tottenham’s 25-man squad for their Europa Conference League Play-off first leg away to Pacos de Ferreira.

The Spurs striker was left out of the squad for yesterday's 1-0 win over Premier League champions Manchester City, who are interested in signing the England captain.

Kane's absence against City only fuelled speculation about his future but Spurs boss Nuno Espirito Santo said the 28-year-old was not involved due to a lack of fitness after returning from a recent summer break.

"Harry worked this morning (Sunday), he is preparing himself and when he is ready he will join the group and help the team," Nuno said.

"Harry, like Bryan (Gil), Cristian Romero, they join us later so we thought for Cristian and Bryan it was very important to be here today in the stadium to feel the atmosphere and the process of being in the hotel and with the squad.

"Harry Kane is one of the best players in the world, honestly. We are very lucky to have him. He has to get ready and help the team."

City boss Pep Guardiola revealed last week that the club were interested in signing Kane but it's believed Spurs want at least £150million for their star striker.
