This year's LGFA Players' Player of the Year will be a member of the All Ireland senior championship winning Meath squad.

Emma Duggan, Vikki Wall and Emma Troy all make the shortlist for the award, which will be handed out at the TG4 All-Star Awards Banquet in Dublin's Bonnington Hotel on Saturday, November 13.

Teenager Emma Duggan married her Leaving Cert studies with scoring 3-19 during this summer's Championship. She also scored the only goal of the game in September's All Ireland final win over Dublin at Croke Park.

Troy scored a pair of points that day from corner-back. Wall, meanwhile, was named player of the match in that final. Her winning of the ball at throw in helped set up Meath's first score of the day, as they went on to secure a first All Ireland title at senior grade.

All three players are also nominated for All Stars, which will also be revealed at next month's banquet.

All Ireland-winners Westmeath are rewarded for their efforts with two players making the shortlist for Intermediate Player of the Year.

Championship top-scorer and player of the match in the final win over Wexford, Sarah Dillon makes the cut. Joining her is teammate Lucy McCartan who scored 1-1 in that final.

Also up for the Intermediate gong is free-scoring Clare player, Niamh O'Dea. She scored a whopping 3-13 as the Banner made it to the All Ireland quarter-finals.

The nominees for Junior Player of the Year are more generously spread, with Wicklow sharpshooter Marie Kealy joined by Gráinne McLaughlin of beaten finalists Antrim and Carlow’s Clíodhna Ní Shé.
